Many of the individuals we support are in work settings during the day. Therefore many of our positions require afternoons, evenings, overnights or weekends.
Our settings are situated along the I-95 corridor from Stratford to Old Lyme.
We perform a thorough background screening process on each applicant. This includes professional reference checks, DMV record review, security checks, DDS Registry for Abuse and Neglect, and the Sex Offender Registry. Periodic DMV checks are performed during the course of your employment to ensure safe driving practices.
We require all employees to maintain a valid Connecticut driver's license and auto insurance in order to be a legal driver in the State of Connecticut. Many settings require employees to use their personal or agency owned vehicles for the transportation of those we support.
Training is provided for CPR, First Aid and Medication Certification; as well as agency specific trainings.
Our orientation period is 90 days. It is expected that in that time, all necessary in-services are successfully completed, along with a positive evaluation from your manager in order for you to be eligible for an increase in pay.
As per your job description, many of our settings may require you to lift, bend, or squat to support an individual. You should be able to lift more than 25lbs and up to 75lbs.
