At Club 415, SARAH Tuxis offers an innovative program to its residential clients, which offers socialization, skill learning and arts and crafts to its members.
Based upon the abilities of the participants, classes are provided in safety, emergency and fire procedures, cooking, money counting, checkbook balancing, keyboard classes, gardening and various crafts and dance/exercise classes.
Activities of daily living (ADL's) are reviewed to reinforce and encourage independence. Video games and keyboarding classes offer dexterity and coordination training.
Daily games such as bingo and board games are provided. The participant is able to choose to participate in all or any of the activities planned for that day. Input from house managers and staff is encouraged to develop programs that appeal to all members.
Ladies will be offered pamper days and spa days to encourage positive self image and esteem. Independence is encouraged but assistance is always available.
For the sports lover, we will have activities that include the many sporting events available.
Long-term goals will include day trips, which the members are encouraged to plan for.
Floral design classes will be provided to teach new skills and dexterity and coordination skills.
Donations of $5 per month are encouraged but not mandatory. This fee will defray the costs of running the program. Receipts are available
