Welcome
SARAH Tuxis is a local Arc and a chapter member in both the Arc CT. and the Arc US. We provide support to individuals with disabilities and their families, including residential, family support, futures planning, school inclusion, and advocacy services.
Currently, SARAH Tuxis supports persons with a wide range of abilities living in group homes, apartments and family homes in the shoreline towns of Connecticut between Stratford and Old Lyme.
Our mission is to build creative supports which allow children and adults with disabilities to be fully included and valued members of their community.
The agency has significant experience creating supports for individuals who have multiple challenges. SARAH Tuxis is an innovator in the area of person centered planning and has partnered with our primary funding agent, Connecticut Department of Developmental Services, South Region and Area Agencies on Aging to create more responsive residential supports for our seniors. The agency has also created new networks with the shoreline arts community to develop a "Unified Arts Program". Please see the following pages for more information on these initiatives.
